Shizuka chan: It was 12 years ago when I came to the USA in the hope of becoming an actress. To make a living, I started working at Club Barbara, the club you owned. Then, I met Rod there for the first time. At the beginning, he was so mean to me: he called me a bad daughter and said my English was hopelessly awful. He also once said just because a lot of boys fussed over me all the time in Japan, that didn’t mean I would have automatic success as an actress in America. But the way he looked at me while he was teasing me, it was so tender in contrast to that. |
