ロドリゲス： あ…いや、ちがうんだ、しずかちゃん！！待ってくれ！！ （ハァハァ…あれ…追いつかないぞ…先週末ジムをさぼったせいで、 腹のまわりにまた肉がついたか？） しずかちゃん、待ってくれ～～～～～～～！！ |
Rodriguez: Ah...no, don't get me wrong, Shizuka chan!! Wait up!! (breathing hard) How come? I can't get close to her at all... Maybe I'm getting a little belly again, as I skipped going to the gym last week?) Shizuka chan, wait for me!!!! |

(Rodriguez somehow manages to reach Shizuka chan and
stops her from leaving) |
ロドリゲス： ゼェハァ…聞いてくれ…君を傷つけるつもりなんてなかったんだ…。 ぼくは会社のトップとして、ただ責任を果たしたかっただけなんだ。 君との契約を死守するという責任をね。けっして君とぼくとの間柄を ビジネスに利用するつもりなんてなかったんだ でも、君の心を傷つけてしまったね…すまない、しずかちゃん |
Rodriguez: (panting....) Listen. I didn't mean to hurt you.... As a top executive, I just wanted to perform my duties, one of which is to keep hold of the contract with you at any cost. I never meant to use the relationship between you and me for business. But, I think I've totally hurt you.... please forgive me, Shizuka chan. |
しずかちゃん： （涙をぬぐいながら）そう…そうだったの…。わかったわ。大丈夫よ。 契約更新のことはマネージャーのベンジャミンに伝えておくから |
Shizuka chan: (wiping her tears) Oh.....that's what you were thinking. OK, I'm all right. I'll tell my manager, Benjamin, about the contract renewal. |
ロドリゲス： すまない。ありがとう |
Rodriguez: I'd appreciate all your understanding. Thank you. |
（言葉なくただずむふたり。しばらくして、ロドリゲスがしずかちゃんの手をとり、
また、ふたりは歩き始める） |
(The two of them remain standing silently. After a while,
Rodriguez takes Shizuka chan's hand and start walking again) |
ロドリゲス： お父さんのよねすけさんは元気にしてるかい？ |
Rodriguez: How's your father, Yonesuke-san, doing? |
しずかちゃん： ええ。実はちょっと前に父が危篤だって知らせをうけて、私、急いで 父のもとに駆けつけたんだけど、危篤どころかピンピンしてたわ。 今は新しい商品の開発に毎日大忙しなんだって。なんていってたかな… 「よねくろヨーグルト」とかいう名前だったかしら… |
Shizuka chan: Fine. Actually, I had been informed that my father had fallen into a critical condition, so I rushed back to him. As it turned out, however, he was perfectly healthy. I hear that he's been keeping himself really busy everyday developing a new product. What was the name again.....? Something like "Yonekuro Yogurt" or so.... |

Rodriguez: I see. So, you must have had a hard time.... Ha? Didn't you say something like"Yonekuro Yogurt" just now? You mean the yogurt made of black bean soy milk!? Ha ha ha ha.... Better luck next time. Our company applied for a patent on black bean soy milk yogurt last month. He's a little too late, I'm afraid. |
