Maria:

I was young at that time. I was an innocent and naive girl

who didn’t know anything about the ways of the world.

Yes, I got cheated, or something must have come over me

to make me do such a thing.

Sarah:

By any chaaaance…….you, you did it, too!?

Maria:

To be honest…yes. At that time, it was naturally considered

that woman should get married past 20 or so.

Once your parents said to you, “Tie the knot with the man”,

then there was no choice but to obey that.

All told, I married him, and consequently I committed such a mista….

Lorenzo:

I am home! Where, where are you honey, honey?

Maria:

Dear dear! Your dad is back! Let me talk about it sometime again.

Lorenzo:

Oh, you’re talking on the phone. With Sarah?

Weren’t you chatting with her over the phone

before I went for work this morning?

I can’t believe there’s such a plethora of things to talk about.

By, by any chance….don’t tell me you two have been chatting

since this morning!?

Maria:

Your dad is here next to me and says,

“The phone bill is certainly not to be sneezed at.

Instead, get the IP phone that can allow you to speak

as much as you want for free.

Make sure your providers can mutually offer the service before you sign.

Otherwise, it might end up that you won’t be able to take advantage of

the free service”.

Oh dear, your dad is so fussy, so I will hang up.

But, OK? You must stick to the lies once you’ve told him,

no matter what, no matter how. And, the name of the game is here:

You should never turn your eyes from him even when feeling guilty.
