しずかちゃん： ご足労だなんて、そんな言葉つかわないで、ロド。それに、しずか “さん”もやめて。まるで他人行儀―― |
Shizuka chan: Please don’t say “thank you for coming all the way to see me…” like that, Rod. Besides, I don’t want you to call me “Shizuka san”. It sounds very distant. |

ロドリゲス： ああそ、じゃ、オマールえびのグラタンで |
Rodriguez: OK, then, I will take the Omar shrimp gratin. |

給仕： かしこまりました（その場を離れる） |
Waiter: Certainly. (leaving the table) |

ロドリゲス： オホン…。今日、君をここへ呼んだのは、ほかでもない… |
Rodriguez: Ahem…… the reason why I asked you to come over here today is nothing but….. |

しずかちゃん： わたし、うれしかったわ。ロドとまたこうしてふたりっきりで会える なんて、夢にも思わなかったもの。あ、夢には見たけどね |
Shizuka chan: I was so happy when you asked me. I never thought that I could see you just the two of us again. Ah, well, I mean I dreamed about it, though. |

ロドリゲス： あ、いや、そ、そうだね。こうして君と向かいあっているのが、まる で夢のようだよ… |
Rodriguez: Ah, well, that’s right. I feel like I’m dreaming sitting face to face with you…. |

Shizuka chan: (whispering) Say, Rod. Do you think the food we just had was Omar shrimp gratin? It didn’t taste like gratin at all. |
