At Junko chan's parents' home.
Her father is having a meal after getting back from work.

潤子ちゃんの母： そうそう、今日ね、潤子から電話かかってきたんよ |
Junko's mother: Ah, yes. I got a call from Junko today. |
潤子ちゃんの父： こっち帰ってくるんか！？ 潤子もそろそろアメリカに飽きたんやろ ええ、ええ、公務員試験でもうけたらええんや。 まだ年齢制限ひっかかってへんやろ？ |
Junko's father: So, has she decided to come back here, then!? I guess she must be tired of life in America by now. Yeah, she should take an exam to become a government employee. She's still eligible to apply for the job, right? |
潤子ちゃんの母： それがちゃうんよ。あのこ、あっちで結婚するんやて |
Junko's mother: No, no. In fact, she's getting married there. |
潤子ちゃんの父： なんやて？結婚？なにアホなことゆうてんねん！！ |
Junko's father: What? Getting married? What on earth are you talking about!? |
マニキュアを塗りながらテレビを見ていた妹の麗子が振り返る |
Reiko, Junko's younger sister, who is giving herself a manicure
while watching TV, turns round.

Reiko: Is she going to get married? Who to? |
潤子ちゃんの母： なんかな、潤子がゆうには、あの子が働いてる会社の上司で、 シェ…シェフ…シェフスキーさんとかいう人らしいわ |
Junko's mother: Well, according to what she told me, he is her boss at the company where she works, and his name is...She...Shev...Shevskie or something. |
麗子： ラッキー♪これからしょっちゅうアメリカ行けるやん |

Junko's father: Ha? What do you mean by that? |
潤子ちゃんの母： うちら、ついにおじいちゃんとおばあちゃんになってしもた みたいやで。ほんまいややわ〜まだ若いのに。 潤子、妊娠したんやて |
Junko's mother: The thing is..... finally we are going to become grandparents. I'm still young, so I don't like that, though. Junko is pregnant. |
