In a small tank full of big sharks, you must be creative to stay alive. Jon Hamm stars as Don Draper in Mad Men, a multiple Emmy award winning drama about a first-rate Madison Avenue advertising agency in the 1960s. Swaddling themselves in comfortable lies, all of the self-described advertising “Mad Men” weave intricate lives amidst the fierce racism and sexism characteristic of the era. Not even those at the top are safe, however, when everyone has something to hide.

In episode one, “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” Draper is charged with coming up with a new campaign for Lucky Strike in the face of recent revelations that smoking is hazardous to your health. Meanwhile, up-and-coming junior account executive Pete Campbell is celebrating his bachelor party in preparation of his upcoming wedding.

Pete Cambell: Hey, I’m not done here. I’m working my way up.
