電話応対〜担当者が不在のとき

取引先から電話で問い合わせを受けましたが、担当者が不在です。 他に分かる者がいないときは

あいにく今、その質問に答えられる者がおりません

I\'m afraid there is no ( ) here who can answer your question right now.

今回は過去最多、900件以上もの投稿がありましたΣ(ﾟДﾟ；)
ありがとうございます！

今回のポイントは、“the person who can answer your question”が
存在するけれど、今だけ席を外しているという文にしなければなりません。

“not here（ここにいない）”あるいは“out of the office（外出中で）”という言い方
プラス“right now（ただ今）”という単語が必要です。

「その質問に答えられる人はこの会社にいません（存在しません）」
という意味になっている回答がたくさんありました。

また、not available（手が空いていない）という言い方だと、
「社内にはいるが、いま忙しい」という意味になります。

★今週のベストアンサー（Best Answer）:

・ I'm afraid the person who can answer your inquiry is out of the office right now.
…inquiry（問い合わせ、質問）という単語、out of the office（外出中で）
というフレーズはとてもbusinesslikeで、パーフェクトな回答ですﾟ+.ヽ(≧▽≦)ﾉ.+ﾟ

★こちらもOK！（OK Answers）:

・ I'm afraid the person who can answer that question isn't here at the moment.
・ Unfortunately, the person who can answer that question is out now.
…that question でもＯＫですが、your question のほうが優しい響きになります☆

・Unfortunately, the person who can answer your question is out of the office.
…right now があるとさらに良いです。

★多かった間違い（Common Mistakes）:

×I'm afraid but〜
…I'm afraid に but はいりません。

×out of office
…out of the office が正解。the がないと「無職の、職を退いて」という意味に。

×we don't have anyone(the person) who can〜.
×nobody(no one) can〜.
×There's nobody(no one) who can〜.
…質問に答えられる人が会社に存在しない、という意味になってしまいます。
