I’m here in Dublin, the capital of Ireland located on the east coast. When you think of Ireland, one of the first things that comes to mind is St. James Gate, the first brewery to introduce stout beer, which led to the birth of their world-famous Guinness!
アイルランド島東岸に位置する首都ダブリンに来てるまぐ！アイルランドと言えば、ダブリンのセント・ジェームズ・ゲート醸造所で、世界初の黒ビールとして生まれた「ギネス」 (Guinness) が有名！
From the bar on the top floor of the Guinness Storehouse museum, you can grab a fresh pint while looking out over the streets of Dublin.
ダブリンの街を見渡せる最上階のバーで、新鮮なギネスが飲めるギネスの博物館 (Guinness StoreHouse) もあるまぐ！
Today I’d like to introduce Gallagher’s Boxty House, a restaurant in Temple Bar that serves Irish food. The Temple Bar area runs about 500 meters along the south bank of the River Liffey, and is overflowing with stylish cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and more.
今日はテンプルバーにあるアイルランド料理のレストラン、ギャラガーボクスティハウスを紹介するよ！ テンプルバーエリアは、リフィー川南岸沿いの東西約500メートルにわたる地区で、おしゃれなカフェやレストラン、おみやげ物ショップ等がたくさんあるよ。
This particular shop’s specialty is the eponymous boxty, which is traditional Irish fare. A boxty is a kind of potato pancake that’s either fried or rolled up and boiled.
このお店の名物は、店名通りアイルランド伝統的な料理、ボクスティ (boxty) 。ボクスティはジャガイモのパンケーキの一種で、焼いたり、団子にして茹でたりして調理されるまぐ。
Today I opted for Irish stew (which includes lamb, potato, and onion all boiled together), the traditional Irish boxty, and potato dumplings.
今日は、ラムやジャガイモ、たまねぎを煮込んだアイリッシュシチューと、ボクスティと呼ばれるアイルランドの伝統ジャガイモパンケーキに、ポテトダンプリングをチョイス。
You can choose what goes into your boxty, so this time I took on the Irish beef filet with black pepper cream sauce!
ボクスティパンケーキの中身の具は選べて、今回はアイリッシュビーフフィレステーキのブラックペッパークリームソースにチャレンジ！
I also garnished my potato dumplings with Irish chicken filet cream sauce, along with Bulmers Irish apple cider to drink. I really stuffed myself with Irish food!
ポテトダンプリングのソースは、アイリッシュチキンフィレのクリームソースをチョイス。お酒は Bulmers のアイリッシュサイダー (リンゴ酒) で、アイルランドご飯も堪能したまぐ〜！
