In 1980, renowned astrophysicist and visionary Carl Sagan wowed a generation with the wonders of science through “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage,” a television program based on his book “Cosmos.” Making science cool again, astrophysicist and director of the Hayden Planetarium Neil deGrasse Tyson teamed up with Ted producer Seth MacFarlan to resurrect the magic of the original series with “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.”

Though sometimes bordering on hokey, the blend of animation and 3d-rendered eye candy is undeniably accessible for adults and children alike.
